Oscar 4 July 2024

Oscar

Male

2 years

Oscar came in during the summer of 2024, and has been rehomed once, but returned due to aggressive behaviour towards his new carer.  He is a bit of a challenge – but he has had a difficult past.  He has torn ears and a scar on his nose, probably caused by a fight with another rabbit.

Oscar needs an experienced home as a companion to a neutered female rabbit.  His new carer should be very patient and let him take all the time he needs to get to know his new family.

When rehoming rabbits, we follow the advice from the Rabbit Welfare Association www.rabbitwelfare.co.uk  especially regarding accommodation.  Please look at this to check that you can meet these standards.

  • Accommodation can be either indoors or outdoors, providing the housing is at least up the minimum guidelines set out by the Rabbit Welfare Association. Hutches must be at least 6-foot x 2-foot x 2-foot.  This is the ground floor measurements.  Upper tiers do not count towards the footprint.  The hutch must have a run attached of at least 8-foot x 6-foot x 2-foot with safe, predator-proof access always provided.  The hutch measurements also matter if the rabbits have access to the garden, rather than a run as this allows the opportunity to close the doors of the hutch in bad weather to keep them dry and warm.

He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

We have no fixed adoption fee, but we do ask for a generous donation.

Please note, we do not rehome rabbits over the Easter period.

We are not open to the public.

We have a policy of checking potential homes prior to adoption.
This is to protect the animals we have rescued, and to offer advice and support. Check Our Adoption Policy
