Our vet costs are in the thousands every month as Farplace always gives every animal we rescue the best of care, supported by our vets Westway Veterinary Group
For example, this little sweetheart is Jake. He came to us as part of a large litter along with their pretty mother Coco, back in November 2025. All was going well with the little family until Jake suddenly showed some neurological issues – staggering, bumping into things – and appeared to be blind. He also started having cluster seizures. Naturally, we rushed him through to the vets, and later to a referral veterinary neurologist, where he was put on several drugs, including one for epilepsy.
Jake will need lifelong treatment, but he now appears to be stable.
One of the reception staff at the referral vets fell in love with him, and even knowing that he had medical problems, adopted him and his lovely mother.
Both have new names now and are adored by their new family.
Caring for cats like Jake until adoption is expensive in both vet care, food and staff time. If you are able to help in even a small way, you can donate here
Thank you!
