Beautiful Brandy is really poorly and needs your help.
She is suffering from a condition known as FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). FIP is caused when a simple cat flu virus mutates to become a life-threatening virus attacking various organs in the body. In most cases, FIP results in a rapid death.
Fortunately, there is hope in the form of a new drug called GS-441524, which seems to have a high success rate if started early enough, but it is very expensive and takes many weeks to work.
Brandy is currently in hospital being supported with a feeding tube and having medication for her eye which is affected by the virus, along with the new medication. It is hoped that after a few days she will be stable enough to continue her prolonged antiviral treatment at Farplace. We are hoping it has been caught in time. She is only 3 years old and should have a whole life in front of her.
Her current hospital stay will cost in the region of £2,000 (which includes our charity discount), and this is just the start of her journey.
Please help this little girl by donating towards her vet care. Click the donate button and please give whatever you can afford. Any money raised over and above her health care costs will be used to help the other animals here at Farplace.
