Farplace is a registered charity in the UK. We specialise in 2 key areas of work: -
1. Animal welfare and rescue of animals, including many animals others turn away
2. Environmental protection, habitat creation and development
As we do not have kennels, we are very limited in the number of dogs we can take in, but we can often help with other animals. We have many animals available for adoption, including cats, rabbits and ferrets.
We are also the home of St.Strompus Hospice for Sick Cats – a haven for feral cats who are FIV positive. We believe that FIV should not mean an automatic death sentence, and have established this hospice in one of our existing buildings to enable us to give these cats optimum care.
We are not open to the public as to do so would mean we may be required to register for a zoo licence and the cost of this is prohibitive. If you need our help or advice, please ring us on 01388 517397
We are planning to expand to Romania, France and Spain in the near future, all with the same vision for animals.
